The Association of British Fungus Groups is the UK’s leading voluntary fungus conservation body. ABFG members are all amateur enthusiasts who want to broaden their interest in fungi and to help with the conservation of mushrooms and toadstools as they come under increased threat from depletion of woodlands and changes in agricultural practice.

The Botanical Society of the British Isles is for everyone who is interested in the flora of Britain and Ireland. The society traces its origins back to 1836, when it was founded as the Botanical Society of London. From its earliest days it has welcomed both professional and amateur members and it remains the biggest and most active organisation devoted to the study of botany in the British Isles.

The Botanical Society of Scotland is unique in being the only British botanical society with a keen interest in both flowering and non-flowering plants (e.g. algae, mosses, ferns and fungi). There is also an active alpine section, while conservation of our flora has high priority in our interests.

The British Trees website aims to be the definitive guide to British tree species on the Internet and was kindly donated to the Woodland Trust by Bill Unsworth in 2004.

The Eden Project is about connecting plants, people and places. We are a living demonstration of regeneration and we aim to reconnect people with their environments locally and globally. We don't have all the answers, we don't want to tell others what to think; what we do is invite people to explore their world afresh.

Flora Locale is a registered charity that encourages, across Britain and Ireland, the wise use of wild plants for planting schemes that have wildlife in mind.

The Small Woods Association is Britain’s leading organisation in supporting and promoting the work done by the owners and carers of small woodlands.

Set in a tranquil Victorian park and only minutes from the M62 motorway, the National Wildflower Centre is a beautiful visitor attraction with a difference. With the emphasis on creative conservation and putting wildflowers back into Britain, the centre has seasonal wildflower demonstration areas, a working garden nursery, childrens' play area, exhibitions and interactive information about wildflowers.

Plantlife International is a charity dedicated exclusively to conserving all forms of plant life in their natural habitats, in the UK, Europe and across the world. The charity has 12,000 members and owns 23 nature reserves.

Throughout its history, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew has made important contributions to increasing the understanding of the plant kingdom with many benefits for mankind. Today it is still first and foremost a scientific institution. With its collections of living and preserved plants, of plant products and of botanical information, it forms an encyclopaedia of knowledge about the plant kingdom.

Established in 1804, the Royal Horticultural Society is now the UK's leading gardening charity dedicated to advancing horticulture and promoting good gardening. Our goal is to help people share a passion for plants, to encourage excellence in horticulture and inspire all those with an interest in gardening.

The Tree Council promotes the planting and conservation of trees in town and countryside. The lead UK tree campaigning partnership, it is an umbrella body for 150 organisations working together for trees. It is also a forum for tackling issues relating to trees and woods. Members range from professional, non-governmental, specialist and trade organisations, including other conservation charities, to local authorities and government bodies.

The Wild Flower Society is the only national society created specifically for amateur botanists and wild flower lovers in the UK. They are a friendly group who like to meet up throughout the summer months to see and photograph British wild plants in their natural habitats. The Society has been running for over a century and proudly boasts a number of very eminent botanists and academics amongst our ranks with at least fourteen members having plants named after them!
