The University of Bangor has numerous environmental/conservation qualifications at a variety of levels.

"If you would like to study in a university with a long tradition of academic achievement - and live in a fantastic location for many outdoor and leisure pursuits, then this is the place for you! Our proximity to Snowdonia and the sea, and the special atmosphere in what is very much a student city, are among the many attractions for the 8,000 students who choose to study here each year."

The University of East Anglia has numerous environmental/conservation qualifications at a variety of levels with their MSc in Applied Ecology and Conservation being their most significant degree programme.

"The aim of our one-year taught MSc in Applied Ecology and Conservation is to provide essential training for the scientifically rigorous application of conservation principles."

The University of Exeter has numerous environmental/conservation qualifications at a variety of levels with their MSc courses in Conservation and Biodiversity and Aquatic Biology & Resource Management being the most significant.

"Research is at the heart of everything we do and this includes our teaching and work with business and the community as well as research per se. As a research-led university, we are committed to the development and transfer of knowledge and the creation of an educational environment that encourages the scholars and scientists of the future to excel."

The University of Kent offers a good array of postgraduate courses in conservation.

"The Durrell Institute of Conservation and Ecology (DICE) seeks to integrate international conservation and development in a sustainable way. It does this by combining natural and social sciences in designing measures to help conserve biological diversity."

Newcastle University offers a good array of postgraduate courses in conservation, with their MSc in Wildlife Conservation & Management and their new MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation and Ecotourism the most significant.

"We have a proven track record in providing an active, friendly and supportive postgraduate environment to students from many countries."

The University of Reading offers an undergraduate degree in Applied Ecology & Conservation and has a flagship MSc in Wildlife Management & Conservation in the Centre for Wildlife Assessment and Conservation (CWAC).

"CWAC was established to create a link between conservation practitioners and university academics. These two groups need to work together to further wildlife conservation by identifying and solving problems. CWAC facilitates this interaction by ensuring that appropriate research is carried out, that the results of this research reach the right people and, where possible, that on-site implementation of the findings occurs. Considerable effort is made to publish MSc student project work both in the primary and secondary scientific literature. CWAC carries out conservation work both in the UK and overseas using a wide range of disciplines, often in collaboration with external conservation organisations. Most of the academic staff teaching the MSc Wildlife Management & Conservation are members of CWAC."
